EBC brake disc for off-road motorbikes. MADE IN UK.The aim in the development is to improve the braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction, for the brake discs of off-road motorbikes, which are mainly driven on the road. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3 micron thick zinc layer, which is worn off in the brake pad contact area already during braking. The brake discs are drilled in a birdcage design in order to get by with as few holes as possible while at the same time optimising the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear.- Rigid brake disc.- Machined from low carbon forged HPSR steel.- Braking surface drilled with optimised hole pattern.- Radially ground. – Galvanised to protect against corrosion.- Independent design.- Thickness of the brake disc may vary compared to the original part.
